Admissions Policy:
Statement of Non-Discrimination
Lighthouse Christian Academy does not
discriminate in accepting students with regard to race, color, national
or ethnic origin; nor does LCA discriminate on the basis of race,
color, and national or ethnic origin in any of its educational policies,
rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available
to its students.
Enrollment Policies:
Lighthouse Christian Academy exists to provide a quality
education through a program of academic excellence founded on Biblical
principles. Students will be expected to maintain an atmosphere conducive
to maintaining high moral standards. Applicants will be accepted on
the basis of available classroom space and Administrative Approval.
Applicants may be asked to take an achievement test upon entering
or furnish the school a copy of the results of a standardized test
from their previous school. Students may also be asked to take a placement
test to assist teachers and parents in setting academic goals.
LCA believes that a constructive working relationship between the
school, the student, and the parents/guardians is absolutely necessary
to accomplish the school's mission. The school, therefore, reserves
the right to terminate or not renew a student's enrollment contract
if the school reasonably concludes that the actions of the student
and/or his or her parents/guardians make a positive working relationship
impossible, or otherwise seriously interfere with the school's accomplishment
of its educational purpose.
Re-enrollment is not automatic. If a student continues to have disciplinary
or Academic difficulty, it may be apparent that LCA is unable to best
serve the student's interest, and accordingly, the student may be
denied re-enrollment. The decision not to offer re-enrollment to a
student is made by the administration after a thorough discussion
with the student's teachers. Grades, progress reports, and conferences
should alert both the students and parents when such a serious problem
has arisen. |
